Funerals

St. Martin's and St. Peter's churches are available for the funerals of those living in the parish. If you choose to have the funeral at the crematorium only, our clergy are available for this also.

We also accept the cremated remains (ashes) for burial in our churchyards, if the deceased lived in the parish.

We do not have full burial plots available, as our churchyard is now full.

Your first point of contact when arranging a funeral will of course be your chosen Funeral Director. They will take control of the arrangements for you, and will contact us on your behalf. One of the members of clergy will then contact you to arrange a meeting with yourself and other family members.

If, however, you would like to speak to a member of clergy immediately after the loss of a loved one, please do not hesitate to contact the Team Office (01432 353717) and we will ask Rev. Anne or Rev. Lauren to get in touch with you.

The Church community is still struggling with the long term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the challenges we face is the loss of earnings as donations, fees and hall rental income have fallen considerably. If you are able to support the work of our Churches and make a donation we would be very grateful.

Donations can be made online using the button below, or through the team office. Thank you for your help.
